Last week the CG Spotlight Series got a slice of real New York pizza at San Biagio’s Pizzeria in Upland. This week we aim for something to wash it down with. Hidden away on Foothill and Claremont Boulevard is one of most recognizable names in the Inland Empire, Claremont Craft Ales.
Started just over 5 years ago by Simon Brown and Emily Moultrie, Claremont Craft Ales has grown from a family business to an award winning brewery consistently delivering some of the best craft beers in the Inland Empire.
Claremont Craft Ales claim to fame is their stellar performance at beer competitions held annually in the Los Angeles county and beyond. Their prized stallion is “Jacaranda,” a multiple medal winner this Rye IPA finds its way into the hearts and bellies of casual beer drinkers to beer connoisseurs. Jacaranda leads the Claremont Craft Ale options for commercial purchase along side other favorites such as Baseline, Raspberry Gose and Station 101.
The interior of Claremont Craft Ales is an amazing open air space perfect for an after work brew with friends. Pet friendly and casual, Claremont Craft Ales is a place to unwind and socialize but that’s not the only thing Simon and Emily utilize the space for. Twice a month guests can bring in their yoga mats for an hour long Yoga class at $15 while enjoying some of Claremont’s finest. Various food trucks find a home in the parking lot for hungry patrons while various speakers address a packed house of thirsty listeners. Simon and Emily have built up the ideal business, one that reaches far and wide while not forgetting its roots in the community.
